Have you been at Varanas Central Plaza lately? Aside from the Flower Festival booth, you might have noticed a strange clown tirelessly balancing herself on a ball.

She is Malatina. She came from a bizarre realm and aims to bring entertainment to the weary adventurers inside the walled city of Varanas.

Called Malatina’s Dungeon, the mini-game is actually an instance dungeon. Lasting only 10 minutes, only one player can get inside. However, the loots are a plenty and will depend on the level of the character.

Currently, only the Survival Game option is available. Here is the lowdown on the mini-game.

1. You can find Malatina in Varanas Central Plaza, located to left of Transporter Noreve. Once you left-click on her, a dialogue box will appear that contains the mini-games she offers. You can trigger one (currently, only the Survival Game [also known as Treasure Matrix] is available) by paying Malatina with 30 Phirius coins (which you can obtain by doing Daily Quests).

2. Malatina’s servant Hill Joker will welcome you upon reaching the entrance of the Instance Dungeon. Through him you can learn the rules of mini-game and have the last chance to back out.

3. Do not be fooled by what you see. Once you are done with these Tesla coil-like structures, they will turn into golems.

4. Each square yields a surprise. It can be a treasure chest that can yield you a random item, a bomb, or if you are unlucky, an elite golem boss.

5. However, you must also be aware of the totem in the middle as it emits a circular blast and can cancel any action that you are doing. Though, it also discharges healing and speed buffs.

6. Malatina’s Survival Game/Treasure Matrix offers a bounty of uncommon and rare armors, weapons, recipes, and powerful potions like Phirius potions.
