What would you do for love? Are you going to dive the deepest ocean to find the biggest pearl, bring the moon and stars down from the sky, or – as what a traveling bard once famously said – run right into hell and back?
In Taborea, love sways adventurers to perform and accomplish things that are beyond their capacity. They bring down beasts after beasts or gather strange materials in order to impress people or assert themselves to their loved ones. Especially when this time of the year comes and the love spell spread around the continents of Kolydia and Candara.
The Flower Festival commemorates the power of the Flower God. With the priests Adam and Eve coming to the walled city of Varanas and their assistants – the cuddly Owen Harkins and imply Ohm Harkins – located in Varanas and Obsidian Stronghold, the Flower Festival is set to provide worthy adventurers the venue to prove their love to their sweethearts and fellow adventurers!
Flower God’s Blessing
The easiest to accomplish, as all you need to do is to find and talk to Adam in Varanas Central Plaza. For 999 gold, Adam will give you a premium buff. Depending on the character level, the buff will increase max HP/mana by 5% and HP/mana regeneration by 20 points.
- Once you accept, the blessing will appear inside your bag.
Love Chocolate Making
This is where things get a little bit complex. As easy as it may sound, making Love Chocolates calls for patience, patience, and more patience.
You need to talk Adam once again to trigger this side quest. In order to make one Love Chocolate you need to the following materials:
1. Milk
- To obtain this, you need to go back to Logar and find a specific cow with this logo on top of it.
- Then you need to feed the cow with any of these:
Mountain demon grass
Beetroot
- If you are successful, the cow will give you milk. If it is not in the mood, you will not obtain milk from it.
or
2. You also need the following random monster drops:
Cocoa Bean
Lover’s Passion
Once you have the materials, go back to Adam to receive one Love Chocolate. When used, a Love Chocolate will heal 35% of a player’s HP.
Send a Message of Love
You can opt to stack Love Chocolates in order to use the global message broadcast function. To use this function, you need to find Owen Harkins in Varanas Central Plaza or Ohm Harkins in Obsidian Stronghold. Here is the catch though – you need to give either of them five (5) Love Chocolates to send a message.

Magical Rose Gardening
The highlight of the Flower Festival festivity, the event asks you to grow flowers and exchange it for special items.
You need to talk to Eve, located with Adam and Owen Harkins in Varanas Central Plaza, to trigger this event. Afterwards, Eve will then ask you a question that will determine the color of the Magical Rose seed that she will give you.
You can obtain one Magical Rose kit (seed and water container) everyday from Eve. However, you can exchange certain items in order to get additional Magical Rose kits. To get a kit, you can exchange any of the following:
1 Transport Portal Rune (can be bought from the Item Shop)
8 Romantic Roses (obtained from successfully growing a seed)
Once you have the kit, find an empty pot located near the Flower Festival NPCs and plant a Magical Rose seed. You need to take care of the plant by watering it and protecting it from the three (3) waves of insects that aim to eat it. Once it blooms, you can obtain Romantic Roses.
Here is a valuable hint: do the event with some to help take care of fast attacking insects.
You can only see the HP of the plant once it blossoms. If you were able to maintain its HP by 90%, a Flower Fairy will appear and will give you the Flower God’s Blessing buff, aside from the maximum five (5) Romantic Roses.
If you successfully raised ten (10) Magical Rose plants, you can get a special lottery box wherein you can get:
- 7- or 30-day Unicorn mount
- Flower Shield (armor)
- Flower Bouquet (weapon)
However, if you are very lucky, you might get a PERMANENT Unicorn mount or a super special mystery item! Morever, you can get the title “Roseheart” if you are able to raise 30 Magical Rose plants during the Flower Festival duration.
The Flower Festival officially starts on Thursday, after the manual patching. So be sure to update your Runes of Magic client as soon as possible! Start cultivating roses as only the persistent and enduring will get to receive the cool buffs and items and have the chance to get the super special mystery item that is up for grabs through the Flower God lottery box!
